Mr. Chip Cheney
Welcome to my teacher page. I am from Heber, AZ. Music has always been a big part of my life. My father was my string orchestra teacher at school so I have grown up around music. The main instruments I play are viola and piano. I have been playing the piano and viola for about twenty eight years. I enjoy performing with the EAC Symphony Orchestra and the Saguaro String Quartet. I attended college at EAC and then went to UofA for my Bachelors. I taught 6-8 orchestra in Tucson for a year and then went to BYU and completed my Master's Program. I am thrilled to be a part of Safford Unified School District. I am looking forward to another great year with the talented and dedicated orchestra students in Safford!

Saturday, January 25, Regional Auditions
- Students who signed up to audition will travel to UofA to complete their audition.
Wed, Jan 29, EAC Honor Orchestra
- Students from the Chamber Orchestra who signed up to particpate will rehearse all day at EAC and then perform in a concert at the end of the day.
Fri-Sat, Feb 14-15, Southeast Regional Orchestra Festival
- Students who score enough points on their audition will be eligible to participate in this festival at Tucson High School.
